The inspiration behind the name ...
Ostara is the Godess of dawn, spring and new beginings. The founder of Ostara Insights, Mandy Spenceley has a long and successful career working in a variety of organisations as a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, including Local Authorities, SMEs, large corporate companies and PLCs.
The leaf in our logo signifies growth, a fresh start.
Mandy says "It felt fitting to align with the values of Ostara as this is a new beginning, forging a new direction with a passion to provide excellence in professional property advice and client satisfaction."

Mandy's other interests also include suporting an improved awareness of the benefits of Neurodiversity in the workplace, she actively coaches and trains trainee surveyors particularly in Valuation, one of a very few women globally awarded Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, she's a national judge for the RICS national awards, a member of the RICS Yorkshire and Humber Regional Board, an RICS APC, Senior Professional and AssocRICS Assessor and Chair, and an assessor for SAVA the school residential surveying.
Whilst currently studying for a level 5 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development diploma in People Management, she is planning to embark on a Masters Degree in Business Psychology in 2025. Mandy is a member of the Association of Business Psychologists.
Mandy is also proud to be an Ambassador for neurodiversity for the global surveyors charity RICS Lionheart.
She lives in Wensleydale in North Yorkshire with her husband and litttle ginger working cocker spaniel, their grown up daughters are both university graduates and now live over the border in Manchester pursuing careers in fashion and the music industry.
